Task
The client needed an online calculator so partners in the Czech Republic could quickly estimate a project's metrics and valuation without rebuilding their own Excel file every time.
Solution
I built a web service with a form that recalculates on the fly, and the formulas run in Python. It takes local specifics into account. A calculation can be saved and opened again later.
What was done
- Built a web calculator that recalculates metrics on the fly in place of Excel
- Implemented the formulas in a Python backend
- Accounted for Czech taxes and currency
- Added saving and export of calculations
Result
An estimate that used to live in someone's spreadsheet and got lost became a public tool.
